I really think it's retarded.
The Malaysian Government has gone too far and censored way too much content!
What am I referring to ?
Well, there I was, just lazing in front of Astro on Saturday morning, listening to tunes on MTV and Channel V. As I was singing along to Maroon 5's latest single release; "She Will Be Loved" I noticed ONE humongous error !
WTF is wrong with the Malaysian Government that they had to CENSOR a bloody lyric in a hit song ?!
The first line of "She Will Be Loved" goes like this:
"Beauty Queen of only Seventeen...."
And guess WTF our Censorship board did?! They went and changed the lyrics to:
"Beauty Queen of only Eighteen..."
Just 'cos the legal age for sex in Malaysia is eighteen years old instead of seventeen.
I'm like....HELLO!
We Malaysians are not some fu- idiots that will listen to a hit tune and decide to experiment with sex JUST because a hit tune says it's ok to do it at seventeen years of age. Just what the hell do those ministers sitting in their 'kementerians' think the current Malaysian youth are like these days?!
Retarded and so easily led by something as innocent as a lyric to a hit tune?!
Instead of spending government time and money censoring this kind of minor stuff, they should focus on how to educate young teens and adults about the importance of protection if they DO decide to have sex. Set up support groups for those single-young mothers that are now with another mouth to feed and the weight of society's censure against them.
Just do something bloody constructive with tax-payer's money for f-k's sake!
I work my ass off to pay tax and this kinda actions are the best the Government can come up with?!
I mean you could preach to high heavens about how pre-marital sex is wrong in religion's view and how you should abstain from it, but people are people...and the more sacred something is...the more enjoyable it is to break the rule.
So Dato'-dato' YB sekalian....instead of pandering to the 'kolot' censorship ideologies...try stepping into the 21st Century for god's sake and start rectifying problems that NEED seeing to..not doing some minor2 stuff that'll just look good on paper but in actuality, have no actual worth.
